People are so strong and able. Given the knowledge, skills, and ability people can do anything; Even recover from traumatic events. We call this resiliency. We are all resilient and we’re all trying to help ourselves. We become more resilient the more we know and the more we apply what we know. Acquiring knowledge comes in many forms — observing, reading, trying/doing, being told, being trained — both active and passive.
The self-help industry provides people with actions and interventions to make behavioral and/or lifestyle changes. However, we know that insight doesn’t equal change. It’s helpful in directing and guiding change, but the person must still “do” differently, consistently over time, for permanent change to occur.
At present, we are showcasing just one self-help book and it’s on divorce. According to the census, in 2019 there was an an estimated 28 million people in the U.S. that had gone through a divorce. That’s a lot of people and indicates a great need for “recovery resources” in this area. We hope you will find this book useful in your healing and begin making the necessary changes in your life to live the life you deserve.
